The Palm Beaches seamlessly blend the high-end labels of Worth Avenue and palatial estates of Billionaires Row with a wealth of laid-back beach charm. One secret to this balance has been keeping the destination’s grandiose offerings under wraps. After all, part of the fun of vacationing (or staycationing) in The Palm Beaches is peeking behind the curtain. But you can also peel that curtain back and discover some ultra-luxury experiences only available in this part of South Florida.
The treasures of The Palm Beaches extend far beyond the shore. Local blogger and Florida naturalist, Mandy Mizell, takes us on a tour of some of the best scuba diving sites in the region.
The coast of The Palm Beaches is like no other in the world of diving. The third-largest barrier reef on Earth brushes by just a few miles offshore, while a host of biological events draw marine biologists, videographers and avid divers to our warm waters.
In a study conducted by the team for us.jetcost.com, it was discovered just how many Americans take advantage of their time off to go on vacation.
Over 4,000 Americans over the age of 18 were surveyed for the study. All participants were employed full-time at the time of the survey and were questioned on how they use their vacation time.
Whispered secrets. Massive fortunes. Marked graves off Worth Avenue and sequestered public gardens; billionaires and heiresses and presidential retreats … this is Palm Beach, and there’s no place in the world quite as tantalizing.
One of the most moneyed zip codes in America, Palm Beach is the destination of choice for thousands of the world’s wealthiest snowbirds. A secluded sanctuary for the jet set and around 40 billionaires, Palm Beach is geographically separated from sultry, anything-goes Miami by a mere two hours — and only one on the Brightline — but in reality, it’s worlds away.

The roar of a jet engine, the vroom of a car, the vibration of a moving ship.

There’s a dizzying number of credit cards to choose from — with most offering tempting perks to get you to sign up and spend money. But with so many options, it can be tricky deciding which perk to go with: Do you opt for a great sign-up bonus? Initial zero-percent interest? Or choose a card that offers cash back?
According to a new CreditCards.com report, this is yet another area where Millennials differ from previous generations. Over one-third of Americans said 3 percent cash back on all purchases is the most alluring feature on a credit card, while 36 percent of Millennials (ages 23-38) said they were more likely to be enticed by hefty credit card signup bonuses — specifically $500 in cash or $1,200 in travel credit.

A good photographer can take award-winning photos with whatever camera is available. Or to put it another way, your photos aren’t going to get better just because you have an expensive camera. Anyone can make sounds with a guitar, but you have to learn how to make music with it, and it takes a lot of work to master it. A camera is the same.
Before you spend money on a new camera, try improving the photos you take with your current camera or phone. You may be happy enough with the results that you’ll skip the new camera completely.
